Amy Boutilier, RMT

After graduating from high school, Amy knew she wanted to work in the health industry and help clients in one way or another. She started out by taking a Fitness & Lifestyle Management role that lead to her working in gyms as a trainer. This left her wanting more; she enrolled in Massage Therapy at ICT Northumberland College and graduated July of 2009 as a Registered Massage Therapist.

While most of her focus is deep tissue work for chronic dysfunctions and headaches, Amy has taken an Aromatouch course and has grown interest to increase her skills and knowledge using these methods in her treatments. Amy has been travelling from Porter’s Lake since the Spa opened in 2014. Over these years she has grown a soft spot for working in East Hants and her for wonderful client’s she has helped.

Leslie Wilber-Campbell, RMT, RNCP, PTS

Leslie is the owner/operator of Strides Spa and Wellness Centre and Strides Health & Fitness Club. She was an accomplished dancer in her youth and broadened her wellness journey after graduating from ICT Northumberland College for Massage Therapy in 2000. Her vision was to open a modern and sophisticated wellness centre to offer therapeutic treatment in a spa setting. Leslie specializes in deep tissue trigger point therapy, sports and MVA rehabilitation, as well as hot stone massage, cupping, pregnancy, TMJ dysfunction and laser therapy for pain and inflammation. Leslie takes pride in mentoring her associates at Strides and is very proud of the wellness team, stylists and technicians she works with every day.

Julie Horne, RMT

Originally from the New Glasgow area, Julie has been enjoying the rewarding career in massage therapy, treating a variety of conditions for clients in Truro for the last 12 years.

With a deep tissue therapeutic style, Julie balances her treatments with relaxing techniques to ensure soothing pain relief. She is an honour roll graduate from Canadian School of Massage & Hydrotherapy (2010) and trained in advanced myofascial trigger point therapy and cupping to release fascial/connective tissue tension and muscle imbalances. She also specializes in TMJ and hot stone massage. Julie is very excited to embrace East Hants/Elmsdale as her new home and help people feel their best!

Marissa Doutre, RMT

From a young age, Marissa always knew she wanted to work in an industry where helping others was a priority. Graduating high school, she still wasn’t sure what that would look like. After witnessing people’s mental health decline with the stress of Covid-19, she knew becoming a massage therapist was the best way she could help, even if it was just an hour of relief. Marissa is Valedictorian of her graduating class, 2022, from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Born and raised in Lantz, Marissa is beyond honoured to be in such a rewarding industry and she will be able to help the people of East Hants and surrounding communities. Working in her home town has been a dream that is now a reality.

Delaney McLellan, RMT

Delaney is a 2023 graduate of ICT Northumberland College. During her time at ICT, she gained experience in deep tissue, relaxation, sports, and myofascial trigger point therapy. Because many of her clients suffered from chronic pain and postural dysfunction, she quickly discovered fascial therapy was her specialty. With a style that combines both therapeutic and relaxation techniques, she found that breaking down connective tissue layers and releasing fascial tension provided relief for her clients. With roots in Brookfield, Delaney is familiar with East Hants and is excited to be a part of the community and the Strides team!

Posted @withregram • @nourishedmagnesium ☆☆☆☆☆ “Pain Away” The best relief for aches and pains - Alison☆☆☆☆☆ “Total Game Changer” I’m someone who suffers from severe menstrual cramps and am currently on a (long) waitlist to be tested for endometriosis. Every day of each monthly cycle, I was taking 6+ platinum strength muscle relaxers just to function. This past month, I used zero pills - only this cream. I am in awe of the difference. I applied this twice a day to my lower abdomen and barely felt a single cramp! It changed everything about those four (previously grueling) days. I will be sticking with this for a long, long time! - Jillian☆☆☆☆☆ “Great Product!” Magnesium Arnica Cream has been amazing in helping me sleep at night when legs and feet are sore. Rubbing it behind my knees seems to work best for my issue. Highly recommend!! - BrittanyFind Nourished products at Strides Spa and Wellness Center. ... See MoreSee Less

Strides Spa & Wellness Centre
HELLO SPRING!Spring is a time for expansion and growth rather than contraction. We will often feel the need to move and grow. The organ associated with Spring is the liver and one of the main purposes of the Liver in Traditional Chinese Medicine is making sure the qi is smooth flowing through our bodies. When the liver is out of balance the emotion we most often feel is anger. If our body is not allowed to feel the growth and expansion we will begin to feel stuck, causing our liver qi to stop moving smoothly through out of body causing feelings of stress, frustration and anger. We will also feel physical symptoms such as a tight neck and shoulders, PMS and menstrual problems and even digestive problems. How can we keep our liver in balance and keep our liver qi flowing?• Eat more greens like broccoli, kale, lettuce, beans and peas because the color associated with the liver is green.• Exercise as movement helps to encourage the smooth flow of qi .• The Spring wind is gusty and the warm sun sometimes tricks us so protect yourself from the wind by wearing a scarf and covering yourself with a sweater or jacket.• Spring is also a great time for your own personal growth and expanding both mentally, physically and soul level. And Lastly BOOK AN ACUPUNCTURE APPOINTMENT WITH Ronda!Direct billing available.Assessment and treatment $100.00 (tax exempt)Follow up Treatment $80.00 (tax exempt)Guasha and Cupping/Fire Cupping available.(902)883-8668www.stridesspa.ca#stridesspa #acupunctureworks #elmsdaleacupuncture #springishere🌸 ...
